About the hotel’s history
The Huxton is a hotel brand that actually means it when they say they bring together locals, guests and historic preservation whenever possible. Huxton was bought by Ennismore Hospitality group’s founder Sharan Pasricha in 2012. The inaugural location was London's Shoreditch in 2006.
Hoxton Williamsburg is also notable as it was the first of the brand’s US openings. It occupies “the former factory grounds of Rosenwach, the maker of iconic water towers that dot the New York skyline” explains Perkins Eastman, the design and development group that worked together with Ennismore on development.
SoHo House hospitality (yes that SoHo House!) was also a key partner. They were responsible for the hand touches that make the K’Far Cafe space feel so special.

Dropping in for a drink at K’Far Cafe
When I visited Williamsburg Huxton, my experience at K’Far was not your average lobby restaurant. It had the good lighting, and quite the DJ-grade playlist. Not to mention, the colorful travertine of the bar’s countertop looks like a happy accident of sprinkles.
If you visit, try a glass of Mersel Lebnani Abyad, 2021 from Lebanon for a natural orange wine that’s not too funky, and people watch as travelers flying solo intermixed with small groups that could pass as locals.
I consider the quest to visit more Huxton's officially underway!
